Today I watched a baby bullfinch/chaffinch in a bush in Cross Keys. It was still covered in baby feathers, and had managed to fly up into the bush, but didn't know how to fly to the next branch. Yesterday I saw a baby robin (yellow breast with brown marks) who couldn't fly properly yet either. Well worth watching out for in the next few weeks.
I also watched a great tit gathering up bits of dog hair which I had left out in the garden, to line its' nest. If your dog or cat is shedding, put the combings out in the garden and see which birds use them!
