I was gardening one day when something prompted me to go check on the goats.
There were only two of them in the pasture, but they were both looking the same way: heads high up, ears pointing forwards, staring and a small brown animal in the grass. Too small for a fox, wrong shape for a rabbit -- ah, next door's cat. The cat was on its way home from its walk, and one of the goats was right in it's way. The cat sat there and thought. The goats stared. The cat looked left, then right, sat there. The goats stared. The cat crouched down suddenly and twitched its tail. the goats didn't move. The cat sat up and thought - how was it going to get home? Then all of a sudden, it arched its back and fluffed its tail out, and turning broadside to the goats to look as big as possible, dashed past the goats in a big arc. Once safely past, it resumed its normal shape and walked on.
