Definitely healthy open-air work, in good company!
Some local contractors are hired for large seasonal tasks.
BWT don't own heavy farming equipment!
New trees are carefully selected and planting begins in November
Planting is a skilled job and BWT volunteers have been trained
New trees are supported and protected until they are established
Good watering is very important if new trees are to flourish.
Regular woodland work is done by BWT voluntary work parties.
BWT has its own specialised equipment.
