Path works began in May 2008 with a huge gravel pile.
BWT volunteers managed the eight week project.
The original footpath was enhanced
A new gentle slope for buggies descended to the bridge.
Levels were made exactly right to look natural.
Steps, funded by BIFFA, led directly up to the old avenue.
The paths continue beyond the bridge into Barn Meadow.
Sturdy fences bordering the paths were added.
The official opening took place on 12 July 2008
And 200 people walked round the whole circuit
