Join our maintenance volunteers whose work is of crucial value to keep running costs low. Here are some of the team pausing for a moment on a sunny Tuesday. From L to R; Dave Ward, Brian Prior, Jeff Winn, Doug Ewing, Derek Hawkins, Bob Peall and Neville Trimmer.
We have regular workdays on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
We meet at 9.00 am at the tractor barn (south of the main entrance from the Church Landway) and finish at 12.00-12.30.
Parking is available in the car park at the end of Church Lane.
Tools and full training sessions are provided as necessary.
The tasks are light and medium work. Old clothes, garden gloves and suitable footwear are recommended, and there will be a mid-morning break.
Here are the team in 2015, enjoying their annual lunch at the Fox and Goose!
For further information about workparties if you would like to join them, please email us.
This team of regulars (snapped in 2010, at the end of their shift) include Dave Johnson (2nd from R) who organised the maintenance from the beginning, but sadly died in 2013. Dave's work has now been taken over by Jeff Winn (2nd from L).
If you cannot commit to any regular hours, watch this site for one-off projects!
